High Risk Evaluation
Our High Risk Evaluation program is for women who have a family history of breast cancer, LCIS, atypical hyperplasia, or other high risk conditions. Our program gives women the power and knowledge they need to make decisions about their follow-up care.
Our team is able to offer each women a personalized risk assessment, options for genetic counseling and testing, advanced diagnostic procedures and close follow-up with regular clinical exams. In addition, we offer nutrition counseling, psychosocial support, and stress reduction techniques. We are involved in several clinical trials for high risk women.
We will provide you with an individualized, detailed plan for continued monitoring to protect your breast health. This plan may include risk modification recommendations such as: lifestyle modifications (including dietary changes, exercise, and stress reduction techniques), increased surveillance with more frequent examinations of your breasts or utilizing imaging technology such as MRI, or use of chemo prevention medication such as Tamoxifen or Evista. We will provide your primary care physician with a copy of the plan for continuity of your care.
